Recall Petition Language Approved

Recall language was approved on March 23rd, allowing the pursuit of a recall election for Terry Anderson, Ronda Snyder, and Tom Jeppesen of the Douglass Township Board. This will give the Douglass Township constituents an opportunity to vote for Township Board representatives that are willing to support the adoption of a safe and protective wind energy ordinance. 
This was the first critical step of many and there will be much work as we move forward. If you would like to help in recall efforts in any capacity or would like further information in regards to these issues please email protectdouglass@gmail.com 

Approved Recall Petition Language for Douglass Township 

Here you will find the approved recall petition language for Douglass Township.  Please note that the recall language is identical for each member.  Once recall petitions begin circulation for signatures you will see three individual petitions, one for each Board Member facing recall.          _________________________
"On Jan, 5th, 2022, Terry J. Anderson / Rhonda L. Snyder / Tom Jeppesen, voted to appoint Paul Olson to the Douglass Township Planning Commission despite the fact that Mr. Olson had signed a November 4, 2019 letter as a member of a landowner group negotiating for “long-term wind easements with Apex Clean Energy” and later signed a “Wind Energy Easement Agreement” with Coral Wind I LLC on or about March 30, 2020.  Terry J. Anderson / Rhonda L. Snyder / Tom Jeppesen voted to appoint Mr. Olson to the Douglass Township Planning Commission with full knowledge that Paul Olson’s contractual relationship with Coral Wind I LLC would preclude him from deliberating or voting on any matter involving the creation or adoption of a Wind Energy Ordinance."
